La obra de Agnes Thurnauer retrata la imagen de una mujer pelirroja con vestido azul apropiada de la obra de Manet llamada Bar Folies Bergere de 1882. La obra contiene textos en francés sobre un fondo negro con círculos blancos.
Thurnauer trabaja con distintos medios, su obra va más allá de la abstracción/figuración ya que divide y mezcla palabras (mensajes encontrados en los medios masivos) e imágenes para indagar sobre la plasticidad del texto y la textualidad de la pintura, mientras aborda asuntos políticos y del historia del arte.
