    La obra de Penny Goring retrata a un par de mujeres sosteniendo flores frente a a una montaña negra con cielo gris. Flores rojas decoran el primer plano.
    Los dibujos y pinturas de Goring se basan en experiencias autobiográficas, pero hacen referencia a tradiciones simbolistas dentro de su propio universo sombrío y fantasioso. Sus pinturas amplían motivos recurrentes como paisajes oscuros, flores antropomórficas, llanto y la doble figura de Penny y Amelia, una ex amante de la artista que murió joven por una sobredosis. En sus pinturas, la precisión es clave, los fondos planos se convierten en campos de color, atrapando figuras femeninas distorsionadas.
