Por orar a Dios, Daniel fue llevado al foso de los leones, y confió en que Dios lo liberaría. Al día siguiente, el rey preocupado buscó a Daniel esperando encontrarlo vivo, y así fue: un ángel lo salvó cerrando el hocico de los leones hambrientos. Después de esto, Darío ordenó la muerte de los aprehensores de Daniel dentro del foso, y decretó que todo Persia alabara a Dios, protector de sus creyentes. -
