Los hijos de Israel salieron de Egipto guiados por Moisés con la ayuda de Dios. Cuando se encontraban en el desierto de Sinaí, Dios pidió a Moisés subir al monte para entregarle dos tablas de piedra que tenían el decálogo, la ley de los mandamientos. A través de este testimonio escrito por Dios se establece un nuevo pacto, y se muestra su fidelidad hacia el hombre al compartirle sus enseñanzas. Las tablas representan la ley divina y celestial que desciende hacia la humanidad. -
