La obra de Stanley Whitney retrata de forma geométrica una serie de cuadrados, rectángulos y líneas de colores vibrantes.
Desde mediados de los años setenta Whitney ha explorado las posibilidades formales del color. Su motivo actual es la composición apilada de numerosos campos saturados de color, delineados por bandas horizontales que corren la longitud de un lienzo con formato cuadrado.
