Rescate de la camarera del célebre óleo de Édouard Manet del bar del Folies-Bergère, sobre la que se superponen, como en una transparencia, frases de exaltación amorosa.


Thurnauer trabaja con distintos medios y más allá de la tradicional división entre abstracción y figuración. Suele utilizar palabras (mensajes extraídos de los medios) e imágenes para forzar la plasticidad del texto y la textualidad de la pintura, como manera de indagar en las posibilidades de la política y de la historia del arte.
