Retrato de gran formato de una mujer en bikini. La pieza destaca por la colocación en diagonal de la figura, que parece estar cayendo en el vacío del oscuro fondo y transmite cierta incomodidad contraria a la levedad que se suele asociar a una prenda diseñada para el ocio al aire libre.


Bernhardt pinta paisajes, naturalezas muertas, personajes y objetos de la cultura popular y retratos fantásticos de mujeres, a veces modelos y celebridades, que saca de fotografías de revistas. Su estilo expresionista, casi abstracto, examina las representaciones de la belleza en los medios de comunicación y la fotografía de moda.
