Boyan Vidin, Bulgaria, b. 1975

Biography

He was born in the Bulgarian city of Vidin in 1975. He lives in Bulgaria.

Boyan graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem and the School of Visual Arts in New York.

 

Boyan’s work is primarily painterly, and he moves with ease across various genres and styles. His portraits of real or fantastical figures are particularly noteworthy.

 

He has had solo exhibitions at the Andrea Meislin Gallery in New York; Gallery 39, Sommer Contemporary Art, and Raw Art in Tel Aviv; and at the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art. His work has also been exhibited in group shows at venues such as MoBY (Bat Yam Museums), the Haifa Museum of Art, the Herzliya Biennial, the Peter Kilchmann Gallery in Zurich, and the Christian Ehrentraut Project Room in Berlin.

 

His works can be found in public and private collections, including the Peter Killchman Collection, Zurich; The Zablodovich Collection, London; The Fruchter Family Collection, Belgium and Israel; ORS Doron Sabag, Israel; the Haifa Museum of Art; and The Rubel Family Collection, Miami.
