Constance Tenvik UK, b. 1990

Constance Tenvik was born in 1990 in London, United Kingdom. She lives and works in Berlin and Oslo.

She holds an MFA from the Yale University School of Art in New Haven, Connecticut, and a BFA from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts.

Working through a multidisciplinary approach that spans drawing, sculpture, performance, textile work, costume, painting, and video, and characterized by a lush aesthetic, Tenvik creates worlds within worlds through immersive installations.

Her solo exhibitions include Artichoke Hearts at 56 Henry (New York), Voyage Autour de Ma Chambre at the Astrup Fearnley Museum (Oslo), Soft Armor at Kunstnernes Hus (Oslo), indefenso como tortugas at Prosjektrom Normanns (Stavanger), Gesamtkunst With Myself at Loyal Gallery (Stockholm), Tableau Vivant Action at Fortezza Vecchia (Livorno), and Eye of the Tired at Deli Projects (Basel).

Group exhibitions include presentations at The Breeder (Athens), Château du Feÿ (Burgundy), Carl Kostyal (Malmö), Tidenes Krav (Oslo), and Charlottenborg Kunsthall (Copenhagen).

Her work is held in public collections including Moderna Museet, Stockholm, and the National Gallery of Norway.
