Ákos Ezer Pécs, Hungría, b. 1989

Biography

Born in 1989, Akos Ezer lives and works in Csobánka, Hungary.
He studied painting at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in Budapest.

Young men often appear in his paintings, marked by contemporary references and elements of pop culture. The figures—blurred, with elongated and intertwined limbs—fill the entire surface of his compositions, which are further intensified by a vivid and saturated color palette.
Ezer’s work offers an approach to the lives of his contemporaries through characters that seem to bear the distinctive markers of their time, placed within an uncanny atmosphere with a humorous effect.

His work has been exhibited in numerous venues, including the Kiscell Museum, the Ludwig Museum in Budapest, New Budapest Gallery, Tanja Pol in Munich, Beers Gallery in London, and Künstlerhaus Halle für Kunst & Medien.
