OT.- The First Inhabitants
GÉNESIS 9: 1-19
After the Great Flood, God blessed Noah and his sons—Ham, Shem, and Japheth—and told them to multiply; it was from them that the whole Earth was populated. God also made a divine promise never again to destroy earthly life with another natural catastrophe, and He invited Noah’s descendants—who formed the new people—to view the rainbow as a sign of His covenant of peace and hope. These inhabitants symbolize the repopulation of humanity.
