    OT.- Moses Receives the Tablets

    ÉXODUS 24: 12-18; 31: 18

The children of Israel left Egypt led by Moses, with God’s help. While they were in the Sinai Desert, God asked Moses to ascend the mountain so He could give him two stone tablets bearing the Decalogue—the law of the commandments. Through this testimony written by God, a new covenant is established, and His faithfulness toward mankind is revealed as He shares His teachings. The tablets represent the divine and heavenly law descending to humanity.
