    Un hombre y una mujer vestidos de negro aguardan, cada quien junto a un coche negro, a que una mujer con un bastón descienda las escaleras, las cuales se abren entre dos bloques de pisos. Lo apagado de los tonos, las ventanas serializadas y la composición un poco abigarrada abundan en el aire algo melancólico de la pintura.


    Pintor de florecimiento tardío, Kent se ha propuesto contar las historias de sus familiares o conciudadanos de Hallstahammar, en cuadros de tono naif que documentan la vida rural sueca, en rápida desaparición.
