Martin Williams' painting depicts a bare-chested redheaded woman looking down as she adjusts her stockings and puts on a babydoll against an orange background. A chance visit to the Fakenham Racecourse in Norfolk inspired Martin to begin painting, initially focusing on the theme of horse racing. Over time, he became a highly collected and award-winning painter of horse-related subjects. In recent years, his subject matter has diversified considerably, and landscape and figurative art now also play an important role.
