It is through the body that we perceive and experience the different levels and meanings of the world. But what does it mean to represent oneself in the world? How are the connections formed between the body, objects, the surrounding reality, and emotions? How do the street, space, and visual, auditory, and tactile stimuli become incorporated into the body? This workshop will explore different approaches and techniques for engaging in the practice of self-representation, ranging from written poetic forms, performance, and sound poetry to video poetry, as well as the use of various expanded and interdisciplinary codes.
Target audience: Students and creators in the humanities (artists, dancers, performers, poets, writers) interested in exploring and working with the relationship and discourse between expanded poetry and self-representation.
