Amparo and Manuel Foundation (AMMA) was pleased to present—for the first time in Mexico and Latin America—the sculptural work of Japanese artist Tomoaki Suzuki (Japan, 1972; based in London), in collaboration with the Centro Roberto Garza Sada.

On this occasion, AMMA Foundation had the honor of showcasing Suzuki’s work and collaborating with guest curator Alexis Vaillant on the exhibition.

Focusing on Suzuki’s artistic trajectory, the exhibition sought to create a dialogue with the venue’s exceptional architecture—designed by Tadao Ando, the 1995 Pritzker Prize winner and a fellow countryman of the young sculptor—by presenting a selection of Suzuki’s notable wood sculptures, reliefs, and bronze works both inside and outside the CRGS building. The exhibition highlighted the artist's ability to invert proportions, including those of the viewing public.
