Amparo and Manuel Foundation (AMMA), in collaboration with Guanajuato Cultural Forum, presented the exhibition “Nacimiento: Perspectives Through Time” in the Feliciano Peña Gallery at the Guanajuato Museum of Art and History.

The exhibition was presented for the seventh consecutive year and for the first time in the state of Guanajuato. Nacimiento, Miradas en el Tiempo features more than a thousand painted clay figures in a figurative-expressionist style, depicting 50 biblical passages from the Old and New Testaments.

The Nacimiento Amparo Espinosa Rugarcía was created by artisan Felipe Nieva (Orizaba, Veracruz) during the first half of the 20th century. In this exhibition, it was accompanied by a contemporary sound piece created specifically for the occasion by artist Francisco Eme, as well as a photographic installation featuring the figures from the collection, to complement the aesthetic experience.
