Amparo and Manuel Foundation presented the exhibition “Virgencita, Please. By Amparín Serrano Espinosa” at the Francisco Cossío Museum in San Luis Potosí. This exhibition, conceived to honor the Mexican designer’s creative process, as well as to inspire and keep alive her commitment to art and culture, featured part of Amparín’s creative body of work centered on her most iconic character: “Virgencita.”
The exhibition consisted of 104 works, including 60 illustrations, 18 drawings, 19 sketches, 1 ceramic piece, 1 notebook belonging to the artist, 4 lithographs, and 1 Huichol artwork, created between 2003 and 2022.
This exhibition was accompanied by two digital animation works created by the Pes Motion studio (Chicago, USA), as well as two personal videos complementing the vision of the artist and the person behind the designs.
