Chamoy and Friends (2027): Papalote Children’s Museum - March 2027. Mexico City, Mexico.
Próximas exposiciones exhibition
The exhibition dedicated to Chamoy and Amiguis, created by artist Amparín Serrano Espinosa, will open at the Papalote Children’s Museum in December 2026.
Chamoy and Amiguis is a family of characters created by Amparín Serrano Espinosa. They are not a “perfect” family, since their leader, Chamoy, is a girl who celebrates imagination, diversity, and authenticity every day—even though her plans don’t always turn out as she expected.
Along with her friends Tinga, Chimichanga, Birria, Berinaiz, Chico Zapote, and Mango Mamila, these characters are known for being quirky, funny, over-the-top, and endearing. They don’t always succeed in their endeavors, and that ends up bringing them even closer together.
The stories take place at La Vela Perpetua School and throughout the city of Distropolis. There, they go on adventures, face challenges, and show that friendship can be another way to protect one another, understand one another, and feel like part of something. In short: these characters turn differences into something valuable.

This universe creates a space where flaws are transformed into virtues, friendship is unconditional, and authenticity is always a cause for celebration.
Through these stories, Chamoy and Amiguis convey an inspiring message to the younger generations: being different is, in fact, their greatest strength.
