Xu Hualing’s work depicts a pair of women in profile, wearing underwear and holding hands, against a beige background. Hualing received a solid academic training in traditional gongbi painting and life drawing. Through her art, the artist seeks to reveal her subjects’ personal emotions, focusing on exploring the essential quality of their lives.
