Una mujer yace con aire ausente en una cama, desnuda salvo por las medias hasta medio muslo y los zapatos de tacón alto. Tiene la melena desparramada sobre la almohada, y las piernas abiertas de modo que se le distingue perfectamente el sexo, del que sale un hilillo de sangre que conecta con una de las dos calaveras flotantes que forman parte de la parte más fantasmagórica del cuadro.


El trabajo de Kahlhamer rastrea la influencia de las tribus nativas americanas en su propia identidad, mediante el cruce de sus experiencias vitales con la mitología. Su estilo expresionista y surrealista se inspira también en la música country, la cultura punk, la estética del grafiti y los cómics.
