Lisa Yuskavage: David Zwirner, New York

14 May - 26 June 2026
Overview

David Zwirner New York presented Lisa Yuskavage’s tenth solo exhibition, marking two decades of collaboration with the gallery. Featuring recent works on paper, large-scale oil paintings, and a new series of collages, the presentation marks a significant moment in the artist's evolving practice. Among the works featured was Morning Classes in New Haven: In the Department of Color Theory (2024), part of the Fundación Amparo y Manuel collection.

The exhibition delves into Yuskavage’s signature psychological landscapes. Rather than capturing literal studio settings, her compositions unfold within the mind—imagined encounters where time folds and spatial boundaries dissolve, expanding her ongoing investigation into color, figure, and form.
