Amparín Serrano Espinosa created a rich and distinctive body of artistic work. In 2011, the Mexican artist and designer founded the Amparo Serrano Foundation, a philanthropic institution whose primary purpose is to foster the personal development of children and adolescents through art. This foundation is grounded in a commitment to supporting girls raised in group homes throughout their growth, and in the belief that, from the earliest years of life, art provides extraordinary tools for emotional development.
It emphasizes the protection of girls in vulnerable situations, primarily through support for various group homes, but also by providing them with a solid and ongoing artistic education in disciplines such as painting and music. The children can attend workshops where their creative impulses are stimulated, and once a year, a grand concert is organized featuring all of them.
