Over the course of his decades in the film exhibition and distribution business—and later in banking—Don Manuel Espinosa Yglesias developed a deep understanding of Mexican society and business expertise that he was able to apply to the philanthropic work to which he devoted himself in the final years of his life. Driven by a commitment to Mexico’s economic and social progress, he brought a professional approach to philanthropy, expanding its reach and effectiveness.
His descendants have continued and expanded his work. Building on his legacy, a network of foundations has emerged throughout the 21st century to carry on his original mission.
