Zéh Palito Limeira, Brasil, b. 1991

Biography

Zéh Palito was born in 1991 in Limeira, a town on the outskirts of São Paulo, Brazil, where he continues to live and develop his work.

He studied Graphic Design at the Faculdade de Administração e Artes de Limeira, before going on to study Fine Arts at the Escola Municipal de Cultura e Artes.

Zéh Palito’s work seeks to promote a relationship of mutual respect between humans and the natural world, often drawing inspiration from Brazilian and African cultures. His aim is to uplift, inspire, and celebrate marginalized communities and underrepresented voices through fantastical landscapes in which humans, animals, and plants coexist in dynamic harmony, presenting the artist’s utopian vision for the future.

Palito has presented his work in numerous galleries and institutions, including the Perrotin Gallery in Paris, Luce Gallery in New York, Simões de Assis in São Paulo, Luce in Turin, Italy, the Eubie Blake Cultural Center in Baltimore, La Cartonnerie in Paris, Quintal in Rio de Janeiro, Idrawalot in Berlin, and the Busan Museum.
