    El aspecto inquietante de la mujer retratada no reside solo en el cariz desafiante de su mirada, sino también en los motivos ornamentales del fondo, que recuerdan tanto a las serpientes de la cabeza de la Medusa como a la representación de la tensión eléctrica en los lenguajes del cómic.


    Maluka trabaja con pinturas de gran formato, donde vincula la cultura pop occidental, la tradición del retrato holandés y la vanguardia de la cultura africana callejera.
