The work is composed of three parts. On a pair of pedestals, there is a group of sculptural pieces made from eggs of different sizes and colors. By layering the eggs, the artist first succeeds in emphasizing their essential form, and then immediately draws attention to other characteristics such as their stability, their sealed quality, and ultimately their perfection and symbolism.
The egg is a central element in the artist’s ongoing work, as she is consistently interested in the power of the everyday, which conceals the great questions of human life. In her work, the egg becomes a symbol of origin and transformation, of life and fragility, of the mysterious and the ordinary alike—capable of restoring metaphorical depth to things and exposing them under a new light. In her pieces, the everyday encourages reflection on transience and new beginnings, on cycles, rituals, and the fragile balance between stability and rupture.
