Julião Sarmento: An Extreme Form of Privacy was the artist's first exhibition in Mexico. It brought together works representing his output from 1995 to 2012.

Selected works for the exhibition included the performance piece Cometa (2009); Cromlech, one of his recent videos from 2010; and Dying Animals (2004), part of the Amparo and Manuel Foundation Collection.

The exhibition was accompanied by a catalog featuring texts by Chrissie Iles, curator at the Whitney Museum; Adrian Searle, curator and art critic; and Carlos Palacios.
