A full-length, frontal portrait of a young woman posing in a relaxed manner against a red and green background with an Op Art feel.
Kalenderian uses oils, watercolors, graphite, and colored pencils, sometimes combined with collages of photocopied material. Her paintings update the portraiture tradition of depicting subjects in their domestic settings, with the distinctive feature that the young people she portrays seem to be constantly waiting for something. She also incorporates elaborate abstractions into the patterns of clothing fabrics and furniture.
