The moments of confusion following a nighttime car accident. The victims show signs of the impact in the distortion of their limbs and their hallucinatory expressions. Scattered objects lie on the pavement, their arrangement hinting at an order. The elements of the forest in the background also possess a symbolic air.
In his painting, Farin relies on ambiguity and anonymity, intending to allow the viewer to engage with the work. In this way, they reflect on contemporary interactions—distant, voyeuristic, and fueled by the anxiety generated by social media. The gaze of their figures and his use of color are particularly characteristic of their work. -
