Próximas exposiciones exhibition
Overview
November 4, 2023 – January 8, 2024.
Amparo and Manuel Foundation presented a selection of works from its collection at the San Ángel branch of the Alliance Française Mexico City.
The exhibition explored various moods and situations contrasting with happiness—processes of change fraught with discomfort, tedium, despair, and darkness. These works reflect on the human condition through the perspectives of eight artists who address everyday life, as well as conceptual and fantastical scenarios, portraying the complexity and ambiguity of human emotions—one of the most recurring themes in art history. The selection features artists from various countries, including the United States, Austria, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, England, Sweden, and Mexico.
